Daniel E. Weingold, MD

Born in New York City, Dr. Daniel Weingold became interested in the health care field at a young age as he watched his father practice medicine. Dr. Weingold attended the Landon School in Bethesda, Maryland, and then went on to earn an undergraduate degree at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina. He completed his medical degree at the University of Maryland School of Medicine and finished his surgical internship and orthopaedic residency training at George Washington University Medical Center in Washington, DC.

With a desire to help people of all ages recover from a wide variety of conditions, Dr. Weingold enjoys a number of orthopaedic specialties. His particular interest areas include sports injuries, arthroscopic and open shoulder surgery, knee arthroscopy and reconstruction, fracture care, and shoulder, hip, and knee joint replacement. In addition to being clinically well-rounded, Dr. Weingold is also fluent in Spanish.

Dr. Weingold is currently Chief of Orthopaedics at Inova Alexandria Hospital where he also serves on the Operating Room Committee. In a role that compliments his interest in sports medicine, Dr. Weingold serves as team physician for the Robert E. Lee High School football team.

Dr. Weingold and his wife, Barbara, a retired ER nurse, have three young children—a boy and two girls. In their free time, the Weingolds enjoy playing tennis, swimming, and spending time together as a family.
