Keeping Your Soccer Players Healthy

More than 20 youth soccer coaches from Southwestern Youth Association (SYA) attended a free workshop on Sat., Feb. 27 at Liberty Middle School to learn from medical experts from Commonwealth Orthopaedics, Fairfax Family Practice and Fairfax County Public Schools about how to keep soccer players healthy.
The program included topics on how to prevent ACL injuries; proper nutrition/hydration for athletes; signs, symptoms and treatments of overuse injuries; and recognizing and preventing concussions.
